Thursday Theme

This weeks theme is "Bottle." So once you've written and posted go over to the Theme Thursday bloghome and check out the others. http://themethursday.blogspot.com/

Josh and Karin had a secret getaway, far removed from cell and cable capabilities. No nosey relatives or neighbors. Total seclusion. They liked calling it their own personal “Garden of Eden.” From April through October, each would drive up and hide secret packages; memory keepers to be found unannounced on their winter retreats. During the five winter months, old anchored pines, clothed in snow cotton adornments, were their only neighbors; and the only sounds came from within the log cabin. It was within those walls music from a cracklin’ fire sparked, mixed with giggles and whispers. Seclusion did not have an ominous side; it was a time where new explorations became treasured memories. For forty years they have been playing their secret rendezvous game, and it never got old. As for the small cabin, inside it was adorned with trinkets of various sizes; a pickers goldmine. Various empty Champaign and wine bottles, picture frames, cards, and love notes scribbled on napkins from places all over the world.

This particular getaway was special though, it was their fortieth anniversary at the cabin. Karin had candles lit everywhere, the fire was glowing, and when Josh walked through the door he saw her back turned towards him.

Oh my gosh! Can you believe this snow storm? I bet there is already two feet of fresh fallen snow, and the flakes are the size of quarters. At this rate we will surely be snowed in.

Slowly Karin turned around. Wearing the same black negligee he had given her the year before, his eyes swelled with tears, as she smiled at him, cranking the old phonograph. The soft tunes began to play as she moved gracefully towards him,

And you think that would be a bad thing?

Not now…
