The black-capped chickadee
Her tail short; she is saucy, yet tame
Unique is her song,
Short high twill, low single note
da-da-da-da-da
Following you
Flapping her wings around your home
Landing on the rooted tree outside your window
Watching as you leave
Waiting for your return
Waiting, until your
Flying stone landed in her heart.
